Transformative play area unveiled at Holme Pierrepont Country Park
Holme Pierrepont Country Park, set in 270 acres of parkland, is home to the National Water Sports Center, outdoor activities, and a multitude of accommodation types, from camping pitches and glamping pods to hotel-style rooms. The playground embarked on a transformative journey inspired by the client’s vision.
Following a comprehensive client consultation, the objective was clear: design a novel play space that harmonizes with the park's natural beauty. This endeavor sought to achieve several key goals:
- Enhance its natural surroundings with earthy colors.
- Offer a statement centerpiece like no other within proximity.
- Provide a variety of equipment with multiple play values.
- Allow children of all ages to enjoy a day out with their families.
- Promote health and well-being.
On May 27th, Holme Pierrepont Country Park was joined by Councillor John Cottee from Nottinghamshire County Council and Sean Cummings, Holiday Park Manager, to open its doors to the public. It was a bank holiday; the sun was shining, and the new play area was packed with happy children and their families thoroughly enjoying themselves! It was the perfect day for such a wonderful event. The undeniable focal point of the play area was the bespoke 2-tower treetop unit meticulously crafted by HAGS.
This exceptional installation fulfilled the client's aspiration for an awe-inspiring piece that would captivate young hearts. The unit offers multiple play activities such as climbing, sliding, tactile interaction, and socializing, encouraging children to challenge themselves and push boundaries. But don’t just take it from us…
“We’ve had an amazing facility put in here at Holme Pierrepont Country Park!! When we went out for this, we went through several different suppliers to see who could create the experience we wanted children to have here in our park. HAGS provided us with the level of service that we required and the product that we wanted to hit certain demographics of people within the area.” - Sean, Holiday Park Manager
