HAGS product warranties
The warranty does not apply to:
- For normal wear and tear arising from intended use, e.g. cosmetic problems such as surface corrosion, scratches, dents, fading, discoloration, etc.
- If the product is neglected, treated carelessly, is faulty, overloaded or vandalized.
- If the product is exposed to unforeseen environmental impacts such as extreme weather or natural disaster.
- If the product is used or installed together with products that are not approved by HAGS Aneby AB
- If the buyer has not carried out and documented inspection and maintenance in accordance with HAGS Inspection and Maintenance Instructions (available to download free of charge on the HAGS website or can be ordered). All required maintenance must be carried out promptly and regularly during the life of the product.
- If the product is assembled and/or installed in a way that is contrary to HAGS instructions
- For corrosion damage when the product is directly exposed to salt water. When installed within 200 m of the coast, the warranty period for damage caused by corrosion is halved.
- If the buyer does not notify the complaint in time or otherwise fails to observe the complaint procedure above.
- For minor problems related to wood, such as cracks (which do not weaken the construction or cause safety issues), splinters or resin. We strive to select the best material, but wood is a natural material that expands and shrinks with the changes of the seasons.
- If the buyer does not observe and comply with product information and product instructions issued by HAGS or an authorized HAGS dealer regarding product issues and safety.
Warranty period and complaints procedure
The warranty claim must be sent to HAGS via claim@hags.com, by letter to HAGS Aneby AB, Grännavägen 7, 578 33 Aneby or to an authorized HAGS dealer, within three (3) months from when a product defect was discovered or should have been discovered. The original invoice or warranty certificate must be attached to the complaint. In addition, the customer must, upon request, provide HAGS with a copy of documents showing how the inspection and maintenance routines have been managed. Upon request, defective or non-functioning parts must be returned to HAGS.
If a product is found to be defective or non-functional under normal use within the warranty period stated above, HAGS will, within a reasonable time and at its option, repair or replace defective or non-functional products by providing repaired products or replacement products/replacement parts free of charge to the site. HAGS's warranty does not cover labor costs for disassembly of defective or malfunctioning parts or for installation of repaired or replaced parts.
If specific colors or models/products have been discontinued, HAGS will offer a selection of alternative colors or corresponding alternative models/products as a replacement for the parts and products covered by the warranty.
The warranty period begins on the date stated on the invoice. For repaired and/or replaced parts, the continued warranty only applies to the time remaining of the original warranty period. Warranty is granted only to the original purchaser of products from HAGS or an authorized HAGS dealer and is non-transferable.
The warranty only applies to products that have been assembled and installed in accordance with HAGS installation instructions and that are maintained and inspected in accordance with HAGS maintenance and inspection instructions.
Disputes, claims or controversies arising out of or in connection with this warranty shall be settled and resolved by binding arbitration at a venue determined by HAGS.
