A place for little princes and princesses
The city of Pfullendorf aimed to modernize and enhance the flair of its playground in the Stadtgarten, adding value to the city park. This involved replacing the old UniPlay structure with a new, distinctive one and supplementing it with additional matching play equipment. The nearby museum railway, known as the "Räuberbahn" (Robber's Train), connects Pfullendorf with other locations and inspired the theme for the playground, resulting in the UniPlay "Räuberburg" (Robber's Castle).
Project design
In collaboration with the customer, field representative Markus Mörz and the HAGS design department created a unique playground themed around the "Räuberland" (Robber's Land) experience. The new playground features a large UniPlay "Räuberburg" structure, a UniMini play structure in a castle style for the youngest children, and a realistic two-meter-high climbing rock. Additional play elements include a swing, a seesaw, and a carousel, ensuring a comprehensive play experience.
Implementation
With an extensive plan and a photo montage of the future playground, the customer could easily envision the project, leading to a swift decision. The playground was officially opened in July with a small celebration attended by fourth graders from a local school and the city building department, garnering great interest from the community.
Future plans
Future enhancements for Stadtgarten include a multisport facility and outdoor fitness equipment to provide excellent leisure activities for the older population, ensuring the park caters to all age groups and continues to be a valuable asset for Pfullendorf.
This successful project has created a playful and enchanting environment for the children of Pfullendorf, transforming the Stadtgarten into a true "Räuberland" where little princes and princesses can let their imaginations run wild.
